Struggling with Faith and Tragedy

Join us at PUMC for a four-week sermon series struggling with faith and tragedy starting September 11 through October 2. Ten years after the September 11th attacks the world struggles with seemingly more violence, war, natural disasters, systemic financial inequalities, and joblessness. As the writer of Ecclesiastes wondered, what are we to make of all the “oppression that was taking place under the sun?” Is life “meaningless, a chasing after the wind?” We will not have all of the answers, but we will engage many questions and encourage Christians to embrace life’s struggles by yearning for “a new heaven and a new earth.”
