Christ recognized the importance of spending time together. He gathered people together for meals, to teach, to visit with others, and to serve others. A huge part of the PUMC youth ministry is gathering together to do the same things! We have Junior High (grades 6-8) gatherings Sunday nights 6:30-8:00 pm and Senior High (grades 9-12) Wednesday nights 7:00-8:30 pm.
The typical night for each group often involves: a sharing of joy’s and concerns, an activity or game, a discussion, and a closing prayer. Youth Group meets on a regular weekly basis, September through the end of May.
Over the summer, the youth continue to get together, but it is not on a set weekly basis. We have swimming parties, go to concerts and ball games, sell snack items during the weekly Cruise Night in downtown Plainfield, and participate in several service opportunities.
