What is Scrip?

Scrip is “shopping cart fundraising.”

Here’s how it works:

PUMC Youth ministries purchase Scrip cards at a discount. You buy the cards at face value. PUMC Youth ministries retains the difference. It’s that simple. The primary direct beneficiary of your purchases are annual PUMC Youth mission trips, which the next trip is to Joplin, MO.

The reason Scrip is so effective is that families are generating revenue for PUMC Youth ministries through purchases they have to make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, and even gasoline can be purchased with Scrip. If PUMC church families use Scrip for these items we can easily raise thousands of dollars per year!

The most efficient way to help PUMC Youth ministries is by ordering your cards online at ShopWithScrip.com and especially by using PrestoPay to order ScripNow! (immediately-delivered email “cards”) and re-loading available Scrip cards.

How to Set Up your ShopWithScrip.com Account

  1. Navigate to the ShopWithScrip.com Registration Page.
  2. Complete the Family Registration page, providing information such as your name, email address, and your own password for this site. Click “I Accept” on the bottom of the page.
  3. Enter the Enrollment Code for PUMC: 198CA37417L96 and click “Join.”
  4. To start shopping, click on “Place Order” and skip to step 3 below.

How to Select Your Cards Online

  1. Navigate to shopwithscrip.com and log in (see instructions above if you have not already set up your ShopWithScrip.com account).
  2. Click on “Shop” on the top menu bar to order cards (click on “Order ScripNow!” or “Reload” in the middle of the “Family Home” page to buy instant email vouchers and to reload cards).
  3. Search for the brands you want to buy. Click on the link for each brand.
  4. Enter your desired quantities of cards, be sure to click the “Add to cart” button.
  5. Click the “Check Out” button (and print your confirmation sheet for your records).
  6. Make your check payable to “PUMC Youth” and drop it off at the Scrip table on Sunday morning in Friendship Hall upstairs or at the church (using PrestoPay? your cards will arrive at church with the next batch order; ScripNow! and reloads are immediately available with PrestoPay).
  7. Most orders are placed Monday for delivery the following Sunday, though if the collective order does not justify the $7.75 shipping cost, your order should process the following week.

Once you are registered at ShopWithScrip.com and with PrestoPay (by following the link on the bottom-left of your Family screen and the directions for registration), you can buy ScripNow! and re-load cards without waiting for your cards through the church. When you buy ScripNow! and re-load cards please use the GRAY buttons on the product screen. The discount amount will be automatically credited to PUMC youth ministries!

To order at church, please download the Scrip order form. Print and complete the form. Bring the form to the Scrip table in Friendship Hall with your check on Sunday morning to place your order.
