CHILDREN:
Children and Youth Educational
Ministries
Sunday School for toddlers through high school.
Classes meet from 9:45-10:45am on Sunday mornings.
Classes use curriculum resources to explore the Bible
and our faith tradition through stories, games, crafts,
and fellowship. Special attention is given to multiple
approaches to learning. Each year the Sunday School as a
whole participates in a mission project. In 2009 - 2010
our mission project is our Feed My Starving Children.
Summer Sunday School
We now have something for everyone! Classes meet from
9:45-10:45am on Sunday mornings in the summer.
Preschoolers meet together for exciting Bible lessons,
group play, and fellowship. We will be testing a new
curriculum called Live BIG! in 2008.
Pre-kindergarteners through fifth graders are grouped
together and rotate through different learning stations,
such as the game grounds, the creation station, and the
science center. These stations each emphasize the topic
we are covering. In 2008, we will focus our lessons on
The Lord's Prayer and the Psalms.
Playful Praise for Preschoolers
For preschoolers through kindergartners. Meets on Sunday
morning during the 11:00am worship service. Children sit
with their parents in the sanctuary; following the
children’s sermon, the children are invited to come
downstairs (room 102) for Playful Praise. This is not a
Sunday School, but an opportunity for preschoolers to
praise God through group activities.
GUM
(Growing United Methodists)
For kindergartners through third graders. Meets every
other Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30pm. The kids
participate in high-energy, interactive Bible-based
lessons that encourage cooperation and fun! Check out
our 2009 - 2010 schedule.
LAFF (Love’s Adventure in Faith and Fun)

For fourth and fifth graders. Meets every other
Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30pm. LAFF is a “pre-youth
group” class that engages participants in subjects that
impact their age group. They are encouraged to explore
how faith impacts life and teaches us how to follow
Jesus. Click here for our 2009 - 2010 schedule.
All God’s Children At Play
This cooperative morning-out program for families with
children 6-months-old through Kindergarten meets every
other Wednesday morning from 9-11:30am. Parents rotate
responsibilities for providing childcare and leading
Christian-based learning programs. Click here for our
registration form or for our schedule.
God
and Country Series
“God and Me” and “God and Family” classes are offered
periodically in the spring and fall. Participants who
complete the program receive special recognition for
their accomplishment. This program is recognized by Boy
and Girl Scouts of America. Click here to learn more
